Sap is the lifeblood of plants - a vital liquid that runs through the veins of nature, carrying water and nutrients through bodies of different sizes, textures, colours, and origins. It is sap that drives the growth of trees. We know that trees are an essential source of oxygen production worldwide, but what we do not yet know about them remains vast.
“Jacarandá” dives into that unknown, where infinity unfolds. It is a puppet and object theatre performance that explores nature's hidden and mysterious universe. It reveals the colours, rhythm, and botanical mastery that shelter so many beings. What we don't yet know is, perhaps, the most fascinating of all.
Performed solo by Carla Ribeiro, with artistic direction by Adriana Melo and Magnum Soares, and without the use of words, “Jacarandá” invites the audience to embark on a journey into the depths of nature.
