At the heart of Odemira, a space is born where art and human connection drive social transformation. NEW BOWING HOUSE – CENTRE FOR PLANETARY RELATIONS opens its doors with an intercultural celebration that reflects the spirit of NOVO BOWING. With art as its guiding thread, this artistic and social project aims to strengthen the bonds between the Eastern and Western communities of Odemira.

NEW BOWING HOUSE – CENTRE FOR PLANETARY RELATIONS, the beating heart from which all NEW BOWING activities will radiate, is an open space dedicated to art, inclusion, and connection. Housed in the former Student Residence, generously provided by the Municipality of Odemira, it will serve as a living laboratory—where artistic research intersects with social realities, experimentation blends with enjoyment, and people from diverse backgrounds and generations meet and exchange knowledge. Here, bonds between cultures are nurtured, new forms of coexistence are explored, and solutions to local challenges are tested, making art a powerful tool for inclusion and social cohesion.

On 29th March, we invite everyone—especially Odemira's local and migrant communities—to collectively bring this new space to life through music, dance, words, and flavours, offering a glimpse into the vibrant essence of NEW BOWING. Musicians from Odemira will set the tone for the celebration. With their energetic presence, the Didi Bahini Nepalese women's group will share dance, music, and stories from their cultural universe. The journey will culminate in a fusion of rhythms with a multicultural DJ set, accompanied by the rich flavours of South Asia: momos, selrôti, lassi, and chai.

More than an opening event, this is an invitation to participate in a new story of inclusion and dialogue, where people from different cultures meet, recognise each other, and create together.
