Summer Bowing

6 days to try different things, meet new people and come up with good ideas.

Summer Bowing returns to Casa NOVO BOWING, in Odemira, with theatre, cinema, music, dance, clay, drawing, cooking, games, conversations, experiments and time to simply be together.

At Summer Bowing, you do not need to be “good at it” or know how to do everything. We are interested in creating a space open to curiosity, imagination and encounters between young people with different cultures, languages, personalities and ways of participating.

Throughout the week, the House becomes a collectively inhabited place: small films are made, playlists for the House are created, meals are cooked, people are interviewed, unlikely objects are invented, and time is shared together.

Summer Bowing ends on 21 June with Dia Aberto ao Planeta #9, an open gathering for families, friends, neighbours and curious visitors who would like to discover what was created throughout the week.

New Bowing House - Centre for Planetary Relations is a space of shelter, creation and encounter, open to everyone. Created within the scope of the Novo Bowing project, it is based in Odemira, in the former Students' Centre. It hosts artistic activities that promote dialogue between cultures and the imagination of new ways of living together.
