8 Jul — Aljezur
On stage since 1996, NU MEIO ironizes the relationship of a typical Portuguese couple who take refuge in fado and "maldizer". The man, Firmino, demarcates a territory in the middle of the stage from which the two characters cannot escape. The woman, Mila, tries obsessively to climb, to grab, to suffocate this "man-mountain".
The dialogue between the characters is like a soap opera, full of the commonplace, of words that explain encounters and disagreements, shrill laughter and hymns transformed into operetta.
NU MEIO - BAILÃO ends with a dance in which everyone participates.
